Call Back My Power - Performance Intensive
Join Belladonna for an empowering and badass performance project where we will bring an all-new dark fusion Boho Blade piece to life.
Over the course of a 4-hour intensive (across two days), participants will learn choreography, staging, and performance details while exploring the premise of calling back pieces of themselves they have lost along the way. Together we will craft a striking dark fusion performance ritual—fierce, theatrical, and unforgettable.
Costuming and styling guidelines will be provided (plan for black and silver costuming - dark/black bra, silver belt, black or dark silver pants), and participants will be responsible for assembling their own costume elements. Please bring a sword appropriate for belly dance and come ready to train, perform, and embody Powerful Purposeful Presentation.
Sharpen your technique, claim your presence, and prepare to SLAY the Boho Way.
Sword Naming Ceremony
Naming your blade can help you deepen your practice with your sword. Throughout history swords have been named to give them status and establish that they are special. Naming your sword aligns with the ideals that a sword can be your partner, a symbol, a tool and an extension of yourself. A weapon used for creative expression, meditation, and ritual. These are all a big part of the “why a sword” in the Boho Blade style and thus Belladonna is very excited to lead you in her group ceremony in naming your blade.
SLAY the Boho Way
Intro to Boho Blade & Foundations of Sword Dance
Discover the powerful world of Boho Blade, the sword dance style and movement system created by Belladonna. In this 2-hour introductory workshop, students will explore the foundations of this unique fusion approach to sword dancing, where the blade is treated not as a prop, but as a weapon, tool, partner, and extension of the self.
Participants will learn essential grips, fundamental pathways, and core movement concepts while developing awareness of safety, control, and presence. Drawing from fusion belly dance roots—including raqs sharqi, modern, and global movement influences—Boho Blade emphasizes precision, strength, and the art of Powerful Purposeful Presentation.
This workshop is designed for dancers curious about sword work as well as those looking to deepen their connection to movement, presence, and performance.
Please bring a sword appropriate for belly dance.
Come ready to explore technique, build confidence, and experience the empowering practice of dancing with the blade.
Fierce Fragments — Fusion Fragments Workshop
Let’s get feisty and let’s get fierce!
In this 2-hour workshop, Belladonna will guide dancers through a series of Fierce themed fragments of choreography (long combos that have a cue) that blend strong technique, bold energy, and playful musicality. Each fragment presents unique technical challenges while remaining fun, empowering, and highly adaptable. These combinations are designed to link seamlessly through cues and connective movements, making them perfect for solo improvisation, cued lead follow, or to put into a choreography.
Fusion Fragments plug into most 4/4 music, giving dancers versatile tools to build confidence, sharpen technique, and have fun!
Open to all levels; some belly dance experience is recommended. Come ready to move, connect, and bring your fierce to the dance floor.
Rest for the Wicked: Boho Body Care
After a full weekend of dancing, your body deserves a little love. Boho Body Care is a gentle, restorative session designed to help dancers release tension, restore mobility, and recharge so you can keep moving with strength and ease.
In this 1-hour class, Belladonna will guide participants through simple stretches, mobility work, and dancer-friendly self-care practices to support the muscles and joints that work hardest during a busy dance weekend.
And because Sunday is for the foot thing, we’ll give special attention to the feet—the foundation of every dancer. Expect practical exercises and care techniques to help soothe tired feet, improve strength and flexibility, and keep you dancing comfortably long after the festival ends.
A perfect reset for body, mind, and dancing spirit. Come relax, restore, and take care of the instrument that makes the magic happen—you
